Oktomind

Oktomind is the personal brand and platform of Birgit Stahl-Hitz — a coach and therapist focused on mindfulness, mental health, and personal development. Her audience is split between private clients looking for personal support and businesses seeking coaching for their teams. The website needed to serve both, without feeling clinical or cold.

Role

UI Design, Color System, Visual Direction

Two audiences, one design

The core challenge wasn't visual — it was structural. Birgit's work covers a wide range of topics: anxiety, sleep, high sensitivity, mental health in the workplace, life stages, and more. All of it needed to feel connected and easy to navigate, whether you're a private person looking for help or a company exploring coaching options. The design had to make that distinction clear without splitting the experience in two.

No colors. Start from the feel.

There was no established color palette to work from — the existing logo was black and white only. Rather than defaulting to something generic, the direction came from the tone of the work itself: warm, grounded, and quietly confident. The palette that came out of that — rosemary green, soft purple, and cream — gave the brand something to stand on without overpowering the content or the person behind it.

16 pages, one visual language

The project grew from a homepage into a full website — 16 pages covering services, topic-specific subpages, workshops, a blog, contact, and more. Each page had different content and a different purpose, but they all needed to feel like the same place. Maintaining that consistency across that many pages — especially with content-heavy subpages — was as much a design discipline challenge as it was a visual one.

The result

The site went live at oktomind.at. The client approved the design direction early and extended the scope to cover all remaining pages. What started as a homepage became a complete digital home for a growing practice — calm, clear, and built to reflect the person at the center of it.
